It is a rare occurrence, that a bride to be, buying an off-the-peg gown, will walk out of the shop with a perfectly fitting dress.

Length is the most common alteration necessary, as manufacturers always cater for the tallest girls.

Bridal wear stockists will take measurements and order the nearest fitting size, and most will offer an alterations service. Brides to be can be expected to pay up to £175 in excess of the price of their gown, for this service.

Should your retailer not have an alterations service, or if it is not convenient for you to use theirs, I offer a professional service to do this.

Brides are invited to bring their gowns for a fitting, during which the necessary alterations are noted, and the work is carried out in a specified time.

Packages start at £80.
